Methodology
1. Primary sources first — and honest about the rest
Fees come from the official fee schedule of the exchange or broker, captured with a date. Regulatory status comes from the regulator's own register (FCA, ASIC, CySEC, MAS and others). That is the standard we hold every fee, rate and rule to.
Some questions, though, have no primary source: no exchange publishes its VIP approval rate, no bot vendor publishes audited live returns, no prop firm publishes audited pass rates. When the honest answer is "the primary data does not exist publicly", we do one of two things — measure it ourselves under disclosed conditions, or cite the best available independent research and label exactly what kind of number it is. Every important figure is one of: official source, TradeKhon measurement, TradeKhon calculation, independent study, vendor-reported, or industry estimate — and we do not present an estimate as a confirmed fact.
2. Measured, not copied
Spreads, funding rates and execution costs are measured on live or demo accounts under disclosed conditions: instrument, account type, time window and sample size. AI trading tools are tested with identical prompts and the same market data so results are comparable.
3. Dated and maintained
Every article shows its last-updated date. Fee tables include the capture date. When an exchange changes its schedule, the article is updated or flagged — outdated numbers are worse than no numbers.
4. How we make money
TradeKhon earns referral commissions from some exchanges and brokers, and operates the fee-cashback service cashback.trade. Two hard rules: commissions never influence rankings or verdicts, and we disclose the relationship on every page where a referral link appears. Products that pay us nothing are covered on equal terms.
5. Corrections
